Job Description:

Reporting to the Snow School Director, the Assistant Snow School Director will be responsible for assisting the efficient day-to-day operation of the Snow School department and leading their team in providing the highest level of customer service. This individual will also be tasked with creating and implementing directives and initiatives within the Snow School to support the company's goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist and lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Snow School's products, programs, and procedures to ensure the highest level of customer service and productivity
  • Plan and conduct effective department training that fosters a positive attitude toward departmental and company goals and objectives
  • Monitor financial performance to ensure the department is meeting or exceeding budgetary commitment
  • Ensure that all reporting supervisors & employees adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to align the goals of the snow school department with other areas of the company
  • Communicate with management through formal and informal channels to ensure the overall success of the department
  • Ensure that safety is a priority and that supervisors & employees are abiding by all Health and Safety procedures
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles
  • Holds a clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the Company
  • Maintains a high level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Maintains a well-defined sense of diplomacy, conflict resolution, and people management skills

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5 or more years of previous Snow School Management experience with proven leadership abilities in a medium to large snow school operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and manage a team of supervisors and instructors.
  • Level 4 CSIA or CASI Certification or relevant leadership experience.
  • Clear demonstration of industry leading experience both administratively and through on snow delivery of ski & snowboard programing.
  • Computer literacy, proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Paradocs Mtn OS system or equivalent Snow School scheduling & POS software.

Work Schedule:

5 days on/2 days off
