Conference Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conference Services Coordinator to join our team at McCarthy Tétrault. As a key member of our Conference Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and meetings at our Conference Centres.
Key Responsibilities- Event Coordination: Manage all aspects of event planning, including room reservations, catering, audio-visual requirements, and logistics.
- Client Relations: Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
- Communication: Coordinate with internal teams, including Facilities, IT, and Events, to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during events, demonstrating effective problem-solving skills and discretion.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the overall event experience.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3-5 years of related experience in a professional hospitality environment, preferably in event planning or coordination.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Certifications: Professional certification in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, or Hotel Management is an asset.
