Seeking a Professional Engineer to lead Pipeline Integrity / Damage Prevention activities, ensuring the safety and protection of TC Energy's Canadian pipeline infrastructure.
The Opportunity
The Pipeline Integrity Encroachment team is looking for an experienced and motivated Professional Engineer to join their high-performing group of technical professionals. This role involves planning and executing Damage Prevention activities on TC Energy's Canadian pipeline assets, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the full lifecycle of Encroachment projects, ensuring technical requirements are met and proper documentation is maintained.
- Coordinate with functional support teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop scope of work, technical requirements, and ongoing technical support for contractors and vendors.
- Analyze information to assess and manage potential pipeline integrity threats and damage prevention issues.
- Provide technical support to internal engineering stakeholders and ensure compliance with governing regulations.
- Communicate and report technical aspects and project work progress to leadership.
Requirements
- 6+ years of related engineering experience or equivalent.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a Diploma in Engineering Technology.
- Registration as a professional engineer (P. Eng) with APEGA in good standing.
- Related professional experience in Pipeline Integrity, Right-of-Way Management, and/or Damage Prevention roles.
- Excellent communication, time management, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated decision-making skills, with the ability to collaborate and contribute in a team environment.
