Technical Engineer sought to support pipeline integrity maintenance decisions and program improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
We are seeking a technical engineer with a background in pipeline integrity, integrity inspection technologies, risk and reliability to support our engineering assessment program.
About the Role:
- Complete detailed technical engineering assessments, including review of pipeline integrity information and evaluation of pipeline condition.
- Critically review data and multi-variate data analysis.
- Collaborate and communicate with business units to understand and address their needs.
- Assist in monitoring compliance to procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical direction and advice to all aspects of Pipeline Integrity Engineering.
- Support technical SMEs with work related to data gathering, analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in Engineering with a specialty in Mechanical or Civil engineering.
- Licensed Engineer or Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in pipeline integrity, project management, risk and reliability or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Canadian and US pipeline regulations.
- Experience in audit, assurance, and regulatory engagements.
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment, remain organized and maintain a strong focus and attention to detail.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to involve appropriate resources to reach solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong data analysis and presentation skills with demonstrated Project Management skills.
