Job Summary

Morguard is seeking a highly skilled Leasing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing leasing strategies to optimize property value and occupancy rates.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Portfolio Leasing Strategy

Develop and implement leasing strategies for assigned portfolios to ensure continuous improvement and optimization of property value.

Tenant Prospecting

Prospect for new regional tenants by researching relevant markets, analyzing potential tenants, and proactively marketing properties to target groups.

Comprehensive Property Management Expertise

Maintain solid knowledge of building construction, building codes, and property management processes to ensure advantages of the asset are leveraged to attract prospective tenants.

Leasing Deals

Prepare, negotiate, and coordinate various types of leasing deals, including new, renewals, and extensions, expansions, relocations, subleases, and assignments.

Leasing Analysis and Reporting

Perform various analysis and reporting on leasing activities, including financial analysis, market rent data, leasing activity reporting, and budget variance analysis.

Budgeting and Reforecasting

Participate in property budgeting and reforecasting for leasing costs, leasing fees, and tenant rental revenue.

Relationships within the Real Estate Industry

Network in the real estate industry to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market trends, best practices, and competitor activity.

Third Party Brokers and Property Listings

Administer external property listings with outside brokers to ensure compliance with company policies and corporate values.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Urban Economics, or Real Estate
  • Minimum 5 years of leasing experience in the office/industrial industry
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and modeling
  • Knowledge of credit analysis and risk assessment
  • Current Commercial Real Estate License
  • Solid understanding of an office/industrial lease
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications
