Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, and experienced Senior Consultant, Human Resources (Workplace Practices) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of workplace investigations, including the ability to conduct thorough and impartial inquiries, while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. This role requires a commitment to fairness and a dedication to resolving workplace issues effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into allegations of misconduct, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other workplace issues. Gather and analyze evidence, including witness statements, documentation, and physical evidence. Interview witnesses and parties involved in a professional and objective manner. Prepare detailed investigative reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Communicate to management appropriate disciplinary actions and preventative measures. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Stay informed about best practices in workplace investigations and relevant legal developments. Develop and implement training programs on workplace investigations for employees and managers. Collaborate with HR, Legal, and other departments to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to workplace investigations. Promote a culture of respect and fairness within the organization.Critical Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field. Minimum of five years of experience conducting workplace investigations. Proven ability to conduct thorough and impartial investigations, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in conducting interviews, gathering evidence, and writing comprehensive investigative reports. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to workplace investigations, including anti-discrimination and harassment laws. Experience with various investigative techniques, such as witness interviews, document review, and data analysis. Strong understanding of ethical principles and the importance of confidentiality in investigations. Ability to maintain objectivity and neutrality throughout the investigation process In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada
