Polystyvert is an innovative clean technology firm focused on the recycling of polystyrene. They are in search of a Director of Human Resources to enhance their operations.

The selected Director of Human Resources will play a crucial role in guiding the organization on various aspects of talent management, including recruitment, compensation, payroll, benefits, training, and health and safety management. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, you will collaborate closely to devise and execute strategies, programs, and systems essential for effective human resource management and labor relations that align with Polystyvert's strategic objectives.

As a pivotal contributor to the implementation of the organization's overarching strategy, you will offer both strategic and operational support to senior management and departmental leaders, fostering optimal HR management and organizational growth. You will also articulate and disseminate the vision and strategic priorities related to key HR functions, as well as formulate and propose policies concerning employee relations, rights, and workplace conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related discipline. A master's degree or HR management certification is advantageous.
  • Professional Experience: At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in dynamic environments. Proven track record in developing and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives is highly desirable.
  • Membership in the Order of Certified Human Resources Professionals is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in labor law, compensation structures, organizational planning, recruitment, employee relations, and engagement.
  • Strong capabilities in change management and cultivating organizational culture, alongside strategic HR planning.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proficiency in employee coaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a knowledgeable resource for the executive team, providing leadership and strategic guidance.
  • General understanding of various employment laws and experience collaborating with labor law specialists.
  • Experience in managing benefits and compensation programs, as well as workforce planning and HR engagement initiatives.
  • Outstanding organizational management and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A profound commitment to sustainability and innovation values.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
