Emergency Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Burnaby Hospital. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and promote patient-centered care.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and managing patient conditions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote safe and effective patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, using verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear and concise information exchange.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework in emergency nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity in a dynamic environment.
