Responsibilities
  1. Owns recruitment district wide, developing a recruitment strategy and plan, utilizing appropriate recruitment sourcing strategies to position PCL as a great place to work.

  2. Stays informed of trends and innovative sourcing strategies and platforms, recruiting techniques and trends to attract and compete for top talent.

  3. Generates a proactive approach to improving the quality of candidates and increasing the diversity of the candidate pool in support of the company’s DE&I efforts.

  4. Leads and advises client group(s) on HR programs, policies, and practices.

  5. Guides and coach’s supervisors on employee relations issues, compensation, recruitment, performance improvement activities and workforce planning.

  6. Develops and maintaining strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders within the district.

Qualifications
  1. 5+ years full-life cycle recruitment / talent acquisition/human resources experience in a progressive, fast-paced environment, with demonstrated experience in developing effective candidate experiences.

  2. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.

  3. Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) is an asset.

  4. Current knowledge of talent acquisition best practices and demonstrated experience in utilization of key social recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed.

  5. Ability to navigate large organizations and identify stakeholders.

  6. Creative thinking and knowing that there is more than one way to tackle recruiting challenges.

  7. Demonstrated understanding and application of HR-related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation.

  8. Ability to deal with people and act tactfully and diplomatically with discretion when handling confidential information.

  9. Proven verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, present ideas and content that influences a favorable outcome.

  10. Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations.

  11. Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
