Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for leading the full cycle process associated with all recruitment initiatives and attracting diverse top talent for the respective client group.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the full cycle recruitment process and be a trusted partner to source top talent for all salaried & hourly-paid positions.
  • Manage all job search boards and social media platforms for postings (e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed, and other Associations).
  • Lead the intake meeting process with hiring managers for all vacant positions, and consult and align recruitment and sourcing strategies.
  • Responsible for managing the full cycle recruitment, including:
  • Manage postings for all job vacancies.
  • Responsible for applicant screening, scheduling, conducting interviews for internal and external candidates.
  • Conduct references & background criminal checks.
  • Prepare offer letter.
  • Be the subject matter expert on labour market research and candidate generation.
  • Partner & communicate with all stakeholders and provide status updates for each position and manage the master recruitment vacancy reports (i.e. KPI).
  • Take an active lead on promoting the opportunities to passive candidates; be the Maple Lodge ambassador and provide an excellent candidate experience.
  • Coach, guide hiring managers on recruitment best practices.
  • Participate in career fairs and other events.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive recruitment experience; combination of corporate and agency experience is ideal.
  • Previous recruitment experience within Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), food or manufacturing industries would be strongly considered.
  • Working knowledge of HR related legislation, including but not limited to the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA); Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), Ontario Labour Relations Act (OLRA) etc.
  • Must have strong business acumen with a proven track record of success in labour market research and candidate sourcing.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and able to execute interviews in person and using virtual platforms; ability to extract information from executives and all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work / excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of ATS, MS Office/HRIS & LinkedIn recruiter as super user & other social media platforms.
  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in HR Studies or business-related discipline. Working towards CHRP designation is an asset.
  • A valid Driver's License is required for travel to other Maple Lodge Farms locations within Mississauga.
