JOB SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for developing the Talent Acquisition Strategy for the Toro Group of Companies. This role also includes leading and developing a team of TA Specialists. The role will include creating and running with special projects, such as implementing features related to Talent Acquisition for the companies HRIS system, training leadership on recruiting, and implementing recruiting best practices. This role will be a part of the HR Leadership team and act as a sounding board and partner in building out the HR department.
DIRECT AND/OR INDIRECT REPORTS
This position reports directly to the Head of HR.
This position will have direct reports, including but not limited to:
- Talent Acquisition Specialist(s).
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Management/Supervision/Leadership
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the Talent Acquisition function, developing and executing recruitment strategies that align with business objectives and enhance our competitive position in the talent market.
- Team Leadership: Oversee, mentor, and develop the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and tools needed to succeed and contribute to the department’s goals.
- Collaborative Partnership: Build and maintain strong relationships with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and senior hiring managers to understand and anticipate their talent needs, providing strategic guidance and support.
- Recruitment Initiatives Leadership: Direct and influence high-impact recruitment initiatives, oversee recruitment strategy throughout the fiscal year, track and report on metrics relevant to recruitment, move entirely to paperless.
- Organizational Advocacy: Act as a champion for the organization’s values and culture, ensuring alignment between talent acquisition strategies and organizational principles.
Health and Safety
- Creates and influences the safety culture by leading by example as a mentor and model.
- Promotes safe working practices and demonstrates compliance with legislation.
- Address safety issues and concerns promptly ensuring employees follow policies and procedures.
- Reports any known workplace hazards or violations of the Act to the Head of HR.
Technical/Function
- End-to-End Recruitment Oversight: Ensure all functions of the end-to-end recruitment have clearly defined processes that are streamlined and simplified across the board.
- Candidate Experience Excellence: Ensure a superior candidate experience by leading efforts to enhance engagement and maintain a strong employer brand.
- Offer and Onboarding Management: Oversee the final selection process, including job offer negotiations and the preparation of employment documentation, and drive a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
- Agency and Vendor Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and vendors, ensuring they align with organizational goals and optimize external support.
Administration
- HR Systems Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems, including the Human Capital Management System (HCMS), driving system enhancements and integrations.
- KPI and Performance Management: Establish, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to talent acquisition, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.
- Project and Initiative Leadership: Lead and participate in strategic HR projects and initiatives, demonstrating leadership in driving organizational change and process improvements.
- Additional Strategic Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as needed, contributing to the strategic direction and operational excellence of the HR department.
Talent Development
- Support the HR Department with execution and training.
- Design and implement programs aimed at employee growth and development, encompassing training, career advancement, and success planning strategies.
Internal/External Customer Service
- This role must build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders inside and outside the organization, such as colleges and universities, select agencies, and senior leaders across Toro.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field. Certification or specialization in Recruitment preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of senior-level experience in Talent Acquisition, with a proven track record of leadership and success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
