The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a working knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and other employment laws.
  • Experience working in an HR role in a unionized workplace and have experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and union-management preferably working with AUPE.
  • Experience with Dayforce is not required but preferred.
  • Have a working knowledge of Alberta payroll laws and regulations.
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in human resources management or other related fields.
  • Have at least three years experience in the role of a human resource, with duties that included high-volume staffing and recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and worker’s compensation administration in a return-to-work environment.
  • Understand the importance of maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and basic office equipment.
  • Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members, and visitors.
Duties for this position will include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing the full-cycle recruitment process for all open positions.
  • Coordinating and conducting a thorough orientation for new team members.
  • Tracking all benefits and employment status changes.
  • Conducting management training.
  • Managing WCB and employment insurance claims.
  • Active, ongoing recruitment of employees through job boards, social media, and professional networking to fill open positions.
Benefits:

Touchmark is dedicated to providing the best for our residents, and it all begins with providing the best for our employees. That’s why we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package to our team members who work 35+ hours per week, which includes:

  • Paid sick leave.
