Tasks:

  1. Assign projects to subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations, and employee relations
  2. Coordinate the activities of the HR department to ensure they meet the organization's goals
  3. Evaluate daily operations
  4. Plan and control budget and expenditures
  5. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs
  6. Review HR projects to assure compliance with laws and regulations
  7. Train staff
  8. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements
  9. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  10. Coordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
