International Freight Forwarder looking for Import Logistics Coordinator

We currently have an immediate need for a full-time position for Import Air/Ocean Logistics Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in a 3PL environment:

  • Coordinate all aspects of the shipment process, including booking, manifest, Bills of Lading, and billing.
  • Review all shipment documentation to confirm accuracy and perform data input to open file.
  • Ensure all client special instructions are followed.
  • Assist other team members as needed to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients and answer general inquiries regarding shipment status.
  • Track status with truckers & ocean and air carriers and keep clients/agents advised of status.
  • Ensure shipments are released in a timely manner by communicating with customs brokers and ensuring cargo is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on client reports.
  • Perform billing functions including preparing client invoices and all required support documents.
  • Maintain customer profiles.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years related experience.
  • Experience handling Ocean and Air shipments is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).
  • Proven experience in freight brokerage sales, with a desire to grow professionally.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Team player.
  • Strong computer skills.
