Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air Import Operations Manager to join our team at DSV. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing the processing of all shipments, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate daily shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
  • Directly supervise and mentor new staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful onboarding
  • Champion process improvements, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes to meet or exceed company KPI requirements
  • Establish and coordinate schedules with carriers, tender shipments, and prepare reports as requested
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems, implementing effective solutions to ensure seamless operations
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a freight forwarding environment
  • Education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field of study
  • CIFFA certificate, Dangerous Goods certification, and ACR designated status (for Airfreight only) are assets
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills, with a proven ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities to meet goals and achieve results
  • Good command of English language, both verbally and written, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CargoWise experience an asset
