Finance Manager, FP&A
Location: Vancouver
Compensation: 125-150K plus different bonus and profit share programs, 4 weeks vacation, one week off company closure end of the year, flex work environment (3 days office, 3 days home, first 4 months 4 days office, 1 day home), fully paid employer benefits, sports and gym discounts, Health Spending Accounting, and more.

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Role Overview: The Finance Manager will play a critical role in our financial planning and analysis efforts, ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our projects. This position involves a mix of strategic planning, financial modeling, budgeting, and proforma analysis. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to drive financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support project feasibility studies and investment decisions.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to assess potential risks and opportunities.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with project managers and department heads.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts to senior management.
Proforma Development:
- Create detailed proforma statements for new and ongoing projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
- Analyze variances between actual and projected performance, providing actionable insights.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of three finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and career growth.
Strategic Planning:
- Partner with the CFO and executive team to develop long-term financial strategies and business plans.
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence and integration planning.
Other Projects:
- Innovative Financing Solutions: Explore and implement creative financing options for new projects, in collaboration with the CFO and the development team.
- Technology Integration: Lead initiatives to integrate advanced financial dashboarding software. We have an innovative modelling and reporting tools in place. Adding AI driven touchups dashboarding tools to make the job more efficient and creative.
- Sustainability Projects: Work on financial planning for sustainable and eco-friendly development projects, contributing to our commitment to environmental responsibility.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with various departments, including marketing, operations, development and construction, to drive holistic project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CFA and/or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in real estate or construction.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and proforma analysis.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of financial software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
