How you will make a difference:
As the first point of contact for store employees in Canada and the US, the HR Coordinator is responsible for responding to enquiries, resolving issues, managing data in HR systems, processing employee life cycle events and related reporting.
What You’ll Do:
- Respond to, address and resolve employee inquiries
- Promote and oversee health and safety requirements including claims management and follow up
- Maintain knowledge of, and ensure adherence to applicable legislation
- Prepare memos and related HR communications
- HR Policy Manual maintenance and updates
- Responsible for the disability and leave of absence program
- Support the Company Health and Dental benefits program
- Assist in any assigned HR related projects and research requirements
What You’ll Need:
- 1 to 2 years of HR experience
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset
- Excellent computer skills with solid working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
- US employee relations experience a must
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Well-organized, detail oriented, with ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Acts with integrity and maintains a high level of confidentiality
