THE ROLE

The Recruiters at Trimac are all about making connections with safe Drivers who are looking to join a great organization. We use a consultative approach and have what it takes to succeed in a high volume environment. Trimac is looking for someone who engages with local talent and works alongside our leaders to find the right fit for their branch. Our ideal candidate has an exceptional ability to build connections and think outside the box every step of the way.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion Trimac’s spirit and culture to the external talent market.
  • Work closely with the Recruitment Marketing Specialist and Director of Recruiting to develop region-specific marketing strategy targeting both new and experienced driver hires within the assigned region.
  • Interview potential Company Drivers or Owner/Operators.
  • Manage recruitment initiatives to develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified applicants for the region.
  • Review and action applications in a timely manner.
  • Identify marketplace trends and play an active role in your talent markets.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within the recruitment and retention process while ensuring an excellent candidate experience.
  • Review wage analysis with Operations as needed to guarantee that compensation in the given market remains in the top quartile.
  • Develop relationships within the trucking industry and local communities to promote a positive image for Trimac.
  • Use your charismatic spirit to guide and connect with interested candidates throughout our hiring process.
  • Attend local and national recruiting events to increase applicant pipelines and build organizational branding.
  • Ability to travel to the assigned region.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a high profile and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Applicant Tracking System knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to influence others throughout the organization.
  • Ability to lead projects to implement new recruiting strategies.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

The minimum education or formal training for this position includes the following Provincial/State or other vocational or professional certification, trade license, apprenticeship or degree:


  • 3-5 years in a full cycle Recruitment role; at least 2 years as a driver recruiter.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources an asset
  • HR Certification or Designation an asset
