We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist/Lead Project Controller to join our Mining and Infrastructure team in Toronto, ON. In this full-time permanent role, you will play a key part in overseeing cost control, planning, and scheduling for a diverse range of projects in the mining, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects while championing diversity and inclusion within our organization.


About the Role:


  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support for cost control, planning, and scheduling activities across various projects.
  • Review and contribute to technical standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure effective project execution.
  • Interface with management and clients to address specific project control tasks, including setting up project schedules, cost control systems, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Implement and maintain project control guidelines, tools, and systems for earned value management, cashflow, forecasting, and schedule management.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposals and client presentations.
  • Conduct audits to ensure the quality of project controls and develop training programs for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with various disciplines to prepare project cost and scheduling reports, manage budgets, and oversee project change management.


Qualifications:

10 to 15 years of experience in EPC/EPCM projects, with a strong focus on cost control, planning, and scheduling. Degree in a related field, with advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Applications, and Visio. Deep understanding of project controls principles, including budget development, cost control, scheduling, and progress reporting. Experience in all project lifecycle phases, with the ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, accurate results.
