Internal Title: Project Controls Lead
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the project execution team in managing costs, timelines, schedules, change management, and reporting to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Develop a comprehensive plan for integrated project controls, including scope, cost, schedule, and progress tracking for assigned projects, aligning with industry best practices and client requirements.
- Facilitate the change management process while continuously forecasting project schedule and cost impacts.
- Review and analyze project data, providing insights to the project execution team regarding project health.
- Prepare and evaluate project controls gate deliverables in collaboration with Project Managers and Engineers.
- Establish the necessary resources and organizational structure (skills, manpower, tools, procedures, and communication) to implement the project control strategy effectively.
- Formulate the overall Project Breakdown Structure to fulfill all control requirements, ensuring compatibility between cost control and scheduling systems.
- Identify training materials required to educate project teams on schedule, cost, risk, and earned value management principles.
- Compile a detailed monthly report by gathering and verifying progress information, coordinating a management review, and issuing the report by the agreed deadline. This report should include cost, schedule, earned value, change control, contract administration, third-party recoveries, contingency utilization, and progress visuals.
Working Conditions: Office-based
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in large capital projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance.
- Extensive experience with computer-based scheduling systems (Primavera P6 and MS Project).
- Thorough understanding of project controls practices and procedures, with proven experience in the construction process.
- Solid grasp of core project control concepts (WBS, RBS, CBS, CPM-based scheduling, and Earned Value).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimal guidance from leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in conveying and receiving technical information effectively (both written and verbal).
- Capability to tailor technical information for diverse audiences through presentations, reports, and other communication methods.
