About the Role - The Director of Sales will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy for the On Premise channel.


Responsibilities:


  • Development & execution of industry leading commercial strategy for On Premise channel nationally
  • Manages commercial business & customers across national and independent customer base
  • Set clear, stretching and engaging goals for Sales teams (Field Sales and Sales Managers)
  • Develop and execute channel customer segmentation model to target disproportionate availability in premium segments
  • Develop and execute in outlet execution programs to enhance brand quality and experience in market (including draft and product quality initiatives)
  • Strong leadership of the team and embed a high-performance, high engagement culture
  • Attract, recruit, select and retain the right talent mix to meet immediate and future needs
  • Champion sales capability development
  • Role model a culture that supports health and wellbeing
  • Manage appropriate route to market approaches to enable optimum delivery of the strategy
  • Input into 3 Year MTP working with key stakeholders to execute opportunities aligned to plan
  • Deliver positive commercial results through flawless execution, measurement of results and agility to respond to market insights
  • Oversee the sales budget for channel, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and analyse financial data to assess ROI on initiatives/activities as needed
  • Uphold, safeguard and promote the organisation's Purpose, mission and beliefs relating particularly to ethics, integrity and corporate (social and alcohol) responsibility
  • Represent the company at various industry and trade events and forums and client meetings



Qualifications - Education details


  • University Degree preferred
  • 7-10 years beverage alcohol / On Premise sales leadership experience
  • Understanding of all beverage alcohol jurisdictions
  • Experience in understanding and segmenting On Premise Outlets and Occasions
  • Experience in selling Premium / Super Premium brand portfolios
  • Experience of leading high performing teams
  • Experience of delivering programs centred on elevated consumption experiences



Travel


  • In-Field / Customer Facing / Team Management +60% of time
  • National travel when required for customer or internal meetings
  • Field Based but ideally with access to Toronto office
