Summary:

This customer-focused position is accountable for managing the sales channel of the Home Services organization and as part of a dynamic team reporting directly to the Director of Sales. The candidate manages a team of Sales Consultants & ensures that each achieves their individual targets at minimum.

The candidate has the ultimate responsibility for the achievement of overall sales revenue targets of the territory for which he/she is responsible. This requires effective manpower/workload matching on both a day to day and longer-term basis. He/she also has an input to setting appropriate targets for the territory so that local knowledge is used to set realistic and demanding targets.

The Sales Manager will be expected to develop and maintain critical beneficial links with other parts of the Company and external organizations in order to develop and maximize any potential sales opportunities to increase sales growth.

Accountabilities:

  • Primary focus is to drive positive, sales volumes and unit continuity; build solid teams; and drive customer satisfaction for the Residential business.
  • Accountable for a cohesive sales team with targets to contribute on average in excess of $15M in revenue with a laser focus on continuity for Water Treatment, Water Heater and Replacement HVAC solutions benefiting from the Advantage Rental platforms.
  • Requirement to foster positive working relationships with; Call Center partners, Sales Support; Operations, Marketing and Logistics teams including final reconciliation of orders.
  • Direct accountability for weekly sales field performance with a focus on key metrics like closing ratios; average sale values; gross margins; rental rate, ancillary sales; IAQ attach and heavily focussed on Water Treatment products Net New Rental Water heaters and products that promote sustainability like Heat Pumps for HVAC.
  • Accountable for overall customer care and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to promotional; pricing; supplier and new product strategies.
  • Ability to manage manpower/workload both on a day to day and longer-term basis
  • Ability to set targets; forecasts and budgets.
  • Responsible for the identification of recruitment needs, direction and motivation of a high performing sales team through effective training and coaching.
  • Proven ability to build business through the generation of leads; referrals and working with Technicians to drive lead activity.
  • Promote and ensure consistency of products and offerings with the Service Experts / Enercare brand values.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years sales and service industry leadership/management experience
  • Undergraduate degree in business or engineering preferred.
  • MBA or related graduate degree or equivalent work experience an asset .
  • Ability to excel in a demanding; fast paced; ambiguous work environment while driving towards goals and targets.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proficiency using computers and systems
  • Ability to give professional presentations.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make quick decisions without detailed information
  • Ability to handle escalated customer issues
