Actus is seeking a
Sourcing & Logistics Assistant to join our Purchasing team in a full-time role.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in their daytoday needs
  • Assist in managing different areas of operations alongside the Purchasing Manager
  • Ensuring communication is clear on the logistics end to ensure accurate ETD for all containers to track ontime delivery to customers
This role reports to the Purchasing Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sourcing requests (including customs requests) for Sales team
  • Preparing RFQs for vendors
  • Communicating with vendor partners and ensuring timely updates
  • Assisting with onboarding and qualifying new vendors as needed
  • Reviewing incoming samples for quality review
  • Gathering and completing costings
  • Communicating and relaying information to Sales team on project status updates
  • Creating POs for vendors
  • Helping to generate specification for all product categories
  • Coordinating ocean and inland logistics for inbound LCL/FCL
  • Assist with updates and clear visibility to internal team on logístical issues or supply chain delays
  • Prepare and submit documents to obtain customs clearance in a timely manner
  • Responsible for closing purchase orders by confirming and entering count of goods received, creating vendor bills for landed costs, and assigning landed costs to purchase orders
  • Assist with quality control and inventory management where needed to be advised by Purchasing Manager
  • Monitoring inventory levels and identifying purchasing needs
  • Updating internal database, when needed, which would include vendor pricing, discounts, promotions, and SKUs
  • Liaise with Sales, Warehouse, Accounting teams and vendors when quality issues arise
  • Perform ad hoc duties such as assisting with UPS shipments, creating promo flyers, coordinating warehouse organization/cleanup, etc., when needed

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

  • Applicants should have a degree in Business Administration or related field

MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and agility to juggle multiple priorities on the Operations end of the business
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • NetSuite or other ERP experience is a bonus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Easily approachable
  • Ability to multitask
  • Able to work efficiently as a team and independently, as needed
