Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Guaranteeing PMO methods adherence to Celestica standards which involves continuous improvement, enhancing and maintaining PMO systems and tools
  • For assigned projects, track/monitor project plan and team activities and manage to successful outcome(s)
  • Manage all aspects of small and medium complexity projects through the project lifecycle, including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs and change
  • Coordinates activities of the project team, identifies necessary resources and develops schedules to meet completion deadlines
  • Executive reporting on project statuses
  • Collect reporting documentation for regular PMO governance meetings
  • Collect data for project KPI reporting as well as project trend analyses
  • Applies good understanding of concepts and procedures within own IT project leadership area to resolve issues
  • Support Project Managers in collection and reporting of project status/risk
  • Persuades and influences others through communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties
  • Support monitoring of project qualification efforts by ensuring completion of business cases, costbenefit analyses, resource plans, and project schedules
  • Facilitate stage gate reviews and management process for reviewing/approving project readiness for advancement to next phase
  • Support management of project portfolio via internal toolsets and reports and provide metrics, reports, and dashboards related to projects and programs
  • Flexibility to work in the evenings as needed to support Asia teams

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of Project Management practices and principles
  • Ability to manage time, be organized, and work with mínimal supervision
  • Strong working ability with Microsoft PowerBI
  • Experience with Keyedin Project Management tool would be considered an asset
  • Ensure compliance with Celestica's PMO mandates for project artifacts
  • Strong customer focused orientation
  • Work with broader technology team to confirm that project management guidelines are understood and best practices are used
  • Detail oriented and striving for perfection; quality mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding time frames with attention to detail
  • Able to work crossfunctionally with diverse teams on various topics
  • Knowledge of and ability to work within a global corporate environment is required. Highly collaborative
  • Excellent documentation skills including proofreading to ensure accuracy of content
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (listening, written, and verbal)

Physical Demands:

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience:

3 to 6 years of experience working in a process oriented environment with heavy process interaction, process ownership and improvement responsibility

Typical Education:

Post-secondary education or University degree in one of following: Computer Science/Business Administration/Commerce/Engineering is preferred.
