We provide top quality millwork and interior finishes for retail, commercial, restaurant, hospitality, industrial and multi-unit residential projects.We are currently looking for an Estimating Coordinator to join our dynamic team
Duties and responsibilities:
The position of Estimating Coordinator reports to the Director of Business Development, assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and the submission of bid packages for a variety of projects.
- Contribute to the evaluation of projects for bids and millwork quantity takeoffs as well as to help obtain subtrade vendor pricing
- Learn to use online tendering systems for the procurement of tender call drawings and bid packages
- Assist in preparing formal quotations in accordance with spreadsheets and document templates provided
- Collaborate with and provide support to all estimators and project managers
- Assist in maintaining our client database and following up on outstanding quotations
- Work toward building strong client relationships
- Attend monthly meetings to review upcoming tender packages, potential contract awards, and discuss results
- Assist in identifying partnership opportunities, capitalizing on sales opportunities and following up on sales leads
Qualifications include:
- Post-Secondary diploma/degree in Construction Estimating or a related field is an asset but not required
- Experience with Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Prior knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset.
- Valid Driver's License
- Strong Communication Skills
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings/blueprints
- Experience working as a Cabinet Maker or within a millwork shop considered an asset
Working conditions
The Estimator is an office position in CCW Inc. that works from 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Thursday and 4:00pm on Friday.
At times, this position may be required to enter the shop to consult with the Production Manager or certain employees; this position frequently interacts with clients of CCW Inc.
