Project Coordinator Job Description

Premier Project Consultants Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team. As a vital member of our team, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and implementation of various project activities from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements, including building permit applications and subcontractor invoices.
  • Estimating and Cost Management: Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate, prepare estimates of the cost of materials, labour and equipment for a construction project.
  • Project Planning and Organization: Perform quantity take-offs, material price lists updating, ordering materials and equipment, organize manpower, establishing and maintaining the tendering(bidding) process.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors, assist with subcontract negotiations and awards under the direction of and with the approval of the project manager.
Requirements:
  • Education: Post-secondary education in construction or engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in project coordination in the construction industry.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of building codes and the divisions of construction, excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency.
  • Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of JONAS software and proficiency in other required software such as Procore and Microsoft Office.
