Job Summary

Premier Project Consultants Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team. As a vital member of our organization, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and implementation of various project activities from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements, including building permit applications and subcontractor invoices.
  • Estimating and Cost Management: Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate, prepare estimates of the cost of materials, labour and equipment for a construction project, and perform quantity take-offs, material price lists updating, ordering materials and equipment, organize manpower.
  • Tendering and Procurement: Establishing and maintaining the tendering(bidding) process, prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors, and assist with subcontract negotiations and awards under the direction of and with the approval of the project manager by creating and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Review the daily progress of the project and ensure it is financially on track and on schedule.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education in construction or engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in project coordination in the construction industry, with experience with high rise residential considered an asset.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of building codes and the divisions of construction, excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency, working knowledge of JONAS software and proficiency in other required software such as Procore and Microsoft Office, and experience utilizing AutoCAD for estimating and design/drafting.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work under tight deadlines and have means of transportation for site visits.
