Our company Maclean Engineering is looking for a service representative and technical support for its branch in Val-d'Or, QC.

About the role:

You will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, closing sales, growing the business, handling technical inquiries, and providing solutions and support to our customers.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with key accounts
  • Develop and meet sales targets
  • Develop new business with existing customers and/or identify areas for improvement to exceed sales quotas;
  • Maintain our AMS records of all sales activities including leads, sales probabilities, future sales opportunities and quarterly reviews;
  • Prepare professional offers/submissions and ensure appropriate followup;
  • Work with engineering, aftersales and product management teams to communicate business and product development opportunities
  • Work with the product management team to develop sales programs and promotions for new products/services/components to increase sales and market penetration;

TRAINING:

  • High school diploma, minimum, or certificate of completion;
  • A postsecondary diploma or degree in a mining or mechanical discipline would be considered an asset;
  • Additional sales or marketing education would be an asset.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 35 years of relevant customer service and sales experience
  • Experience selling spare parts and/or aftersales service in the mining industry would be an asset;
  • An understanding of underground mobile equipment and its components would be considered an asset;
  • Experience with heavy equipment or familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components would be considered an asset;
  • Fluency in English in spoken and written communication.
