Achev is looking for an Administrative Assistant for the Hurontario Light Rail Transit (HuLRT) Community Canvassing Project.

The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the project with coordinating training and canvassing logistics including daily routine planning, financial reporting, technical troubleshooting, and reporting assistance.

This role is hybrid at this time, working a minimum of 2 days in office.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to canvasser inquiries by phone and inperson in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties including filing, typing, photocopying, confidential record keeping and document distribution in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in generating statistical reports on a regular basis.
  • Other duties as assigned by Coordinator and/or Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12 years working experience in an administrative environment.
  • Proven customer service skills in a busy office environment.
  • Well organized with the ability to enter data with accuracy.
  • Advanced numerical and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated use of computer technology including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), as well as virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams).
  • Experience in database management and online registration tool management (i.e. Eventbrite).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity and problemsolving skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask, take initiative and be able to meet deadlines.
