Accounting Clerk, Administrative Services

Working under the guidance of a Manager, this role involves providing clerical support to the Administrative Services team at Community Living Mississauga.
Main Responsibilities- Offer clerical and administrative assistance to the Administrative Services department, including processing invoices, handling documents and reports, tracking administrative tasks, sending letters, and entering contract details.
- Provide general office support like photocopying, faxing, emailing, and updating forms.
- Monitor funding agreements and promptly report any irregularities to the Manager.
- Review documents to ensure accuracy of amounts, payments, and information.
- Address any obstacles affecting invoice processing and payment promptly.
- Communicate with external organizations, families, and individuals supported to verify the accuracy and timeliness of payments, contracts, and invoices.
- Obtain necessary signatures and approvals from relevant parties within the set timelines.
- Completion of basic accounting and administration courses at a recognized post-secondary institution.
- 1-3 years of full-time relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or Office Administration.
- Previous work experience in a nonprofit or charitable setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated flexibility, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), databases, and other relevant software.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Possession of a valid Ontario Driver's License (Class G2 or G), access to a reliable vehicle, and insurance coverage.
- Being fluent in French (or another second language) is considered an asset.
