What can I expect to do in this role?: As a Project Manager, you will:
- Implement policies and programs to support Ontario Health, Long-Term Care Homes (LTCHs) and health service providers
- Work collaboratively to develop strategies to resolve issues and mitigate risks
- Conduct ongoing reviews, evaluations, analysis and monitoring of LTCHs
- Project manage the implementation of Long-Term Care (LTC) capital redevelopment projects
- Provide leadership and consultation to internal and external stakeholders, discuss and resolve issues
- Develop and prepare complex briefing notes, contentious issues notes and input on communications materials
How do I qualify?:
Project Management and Leadership Skills:
- You have program/project and financial management, and organizational planning experience to lead projects from initial concept through completion within specific timelines.
- You can provide project leadership and provide advice to LTCHs / health service providers.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- You can provide risk assessment to analyze a range of planning, design, procurement and financial documents
- You can evaluate capital plans, including planning, design, procurement and financial documents, and review/evaluate post construction operating submissions.
- You can assess compliance with ministry program/policies, contractual and accountability mechanisms, and with industry standards and best practices.
- You can proactively develop strategies to mitigate risks, and innovative solutions to resolve complex issues.
Relationship Management and Facilitation Skills:
- You have expertise in creating and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- You can work collaboratively to resolve issues, negotiate changes and shifts in priorities.
- You can lead consultations with stakeholders ensuring a shared understanding.
Communication Skills:
- You can create, lead and present briefings on complex issues analysis to senior management.
Technical Knowledge:
- You have knowledge of health care system and services.
