Construction Estimator - Corporate Interiors

Our client is a leading General Contractor providing specialized Construction Management Services within the corporate and commercial interior construction sector.
They are dedicated to building innovative and functional workspaces for their clients with a focus on excellence and attention to detail.
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator who has a proven track record bidding and delivering estimates on Corporate Offices, Commercial Interiors and/or Retail projects up to 10M in value.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for corporate interior construction projects.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure alignment on project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals, utilizing industry-standard software and tools, while considering factors such as materials pricing, labor rates, equipment rental costs, and project timelines.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor bids to secure competitive pricing and ensure subcontractor qualifications meet project standards.
- Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and building codes/regulations to accurately assess project costs and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle, assisting with value engineering, cost tracking, and change order management as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator with a focus on corporate interior projects, preferably within the commercial construction sector.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Procore, PlanSwift, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes related to interior commercial spaces.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex project documents and accurately estimate costs.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing accurate and comprehensive estimates within tight deadlines.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Construction Estimator) and familiarity with LEED and sustainability practices are a plus.
