Aecon is on the lookout for a Senior Estimator to contribute to a major infrastructure project. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our operations.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Guide and mentor a team of estimators, promoting a collaborative atmosphere.
  2. Apply your extensive construction estimating experience across various work scopes.
  3. Conduct thorough reviews of project documents to understand the complete scope of work.
  4. Utilize design models and digital delivery software for accurate project assessments.
  5. Create detailed bills of quantities using advanced techniques.
  6. Establish material pricing and labor costs, ensuring accuracy in project estimates.
  7. Leverage industry knowledge to secure competitive pricing from suppliers.
  8. Research historical data to compile insightful reports and establish estimating guidelines.
  9. Maintain organized records of estimating documents.
  10. Provide insights during the design process to facilitate smooth project execution.
  11. Collaborate with project stakeholders to deliver precise estimates aligned with project goals.
  12. Encourage an inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives.

Your Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction estimating.
  2. Educational background in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  3. Strong ability to interpret complex construction drawings.
  4. Thorough understanding of construction methodologies and cost control.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Proven leadership skills to inspire and guide your team.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
  8. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  9. A results-driven approach with a commitment to quality.
