Our client, one of Canada's leading law firms, is in need of a Legal Assistant - Floater to join its team.

In this role you will have the ability to manage and organize the daily operations of two busy practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients
  • Manage client file openings, conflict checks and create signature packages for closings.
  • Provide administrative support with respect to docketing, billing, wire confirmations. Manage duties related to accounting, client marketing initiatives and calendar management. You will also assistant with transactions.

Requirements:

  • Five years previous experience as a legal assistant
  • Successful completion of a related postsecondary Legal Assistant and/or Law Clerk program
  • Handle time pressure and stress of multiple demands

Skills:

  • Experience with creating, numbering, styling and rebuilding documents
  • Familiarity using DocuSign and closing folders
  • Good judgement and decision making skills, organized and detail oriented.
