Founded in 2001, Itergy is a Microsoft Gold Partner entirely dedicated to the IT design, integration and management of IT infrastructure solutions according to best practices for large and very large organisations, nationally and internationally.
We specialize in infrastructure projects in the context of Mergers & Acquisitions, divestitures, or consolidation of MS Active Directory, and on migration projects from on-premises to Azure/Cloud, to off-premises or hybrid environments.
Itergy's head office is located downtown Montreal (Metro McGill) and the company also has offices in Mississauga and Guelph in Ontario, as well as an office in Reading / United Kingdom to serve its European clientele.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Global Business Development Director, the Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for achieving the sales objectives set for the services and/or products developed by the company by directly soliciting the target clientele.
He/she has to define the profile of potential customers, to identify the influential political forces as well as the main players and decision-makers.
He/she must also plan and take the necessary steps to close sales deals. This is a position geared towards acquiring new clients.Finally, he/she manages business relationships with new and potential customers. He/she coordinates and participates in administrative activities related to the signing of contracts preparing RFPs.
The profile sought for the position of director of business development is of the entrepreneur type characterized by perseverance, autonomy, enthusiasm, and the ability to meet the requirements of a rapidly changing environment, while maintaining a positive attitude.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the achievement of quarterly and annual objectives by generating new sales opportunities.
- Develop a strategic plan to address new markets and implement it.
- Determine who the potential customers are and solicit them.
- Lead the sales process by investigating the concerns and business objectives of potential customers.
- Present products and services as well as their benefits to prospects and customers.
- Learn about services innovations, competitors and market conditions and act accordingly.
- Prepare sales contracts for orders received.
- Ensure collaboration with the development team so that the products are adapted or modified, in order to make them compliant with the needs of the target markets or the client.
- Collaborate in all company representation events.
QUALITIES AND PERSONALITY TRAITS NECESSARY TO SUCCEED

- Good ability to learn and assimilate a product and/or business area.
- Ability to develop business.
- Good ability to prioritize different tasks and find solutions to problems.
- Thorough knowledge of products and potential competitors.
- Skills in the field of customer relations.
TRAINING AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years of sales experience, ideally in IT solutions or with IT products.
- Experience in B2B and IT Managed Services (MSP) preferred.
