**Description**: The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Justice Sector is seeking a skilled and experienced Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for providing a wide variety of administrative support including, clerical, data entry, customer service, and other office support functions for the Justice Sector.

Who Can Apply: Qualified persons of Indigenous ancestry will be given preference in accordance with s16 (1) ofthe _Canadian Human Rights Act. _Indigenous applicants are asked to self-identify in their cover letter.

Qualifications:

- Secondary school certificate or equivalent, certificate in administrative studies or equivalent combination of education and 2+ years of relevant experience
- Intermediate to advanced level of computer literacy skills particularly in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and research engines & tools
- Demonstrated effective written communication skills, including creating, composing, formatting, and editing a variety of written materials
- Intermediate interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a team and with a wide range of individuals in the AFN, First Nations partners and other external stakeholder
- Demonstrated organizational and coordinating skills
- Demonstrated sound judgement, tact, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work independently & expeditiously, including working under tight timeframes and competing priorities
- English is the working language although the ability to communicate effectively in French or an Indigenous language would also be an asset.

**Description** : Le secteur de la justice de L'Assemblée des Premières Nations (APN) est à la recherche d' un(e) adjoint(e) administratif(ve) compétent(e)s et expérimenté(e)s qui seront chargé(e)s de fournir un large éventail de services administratifs, comme des services de bureau, de saisie de données, de service à la clientèle et d'autres fonctions de soutien administratif.
- Diplôme d'enseignement secondaire ou équivalent, certificat d'études administratives ou combinaison équivalente d'études et de deux années ou plus d'expérience pertinente.
- Compétences informatiques de niveau intermédiaire à avancé, notamment en matière de traitement de texte, de feuilles de calcul, de logiciels de présentation et de moteurs et d'outils de recherche.
- Démontrer des compétences efficaces en matière de communication écrite, y compris en ce qui a trait à la création, la composition, la mise en forme et l'édition d'une vaste gamme de documents écrits.
- Compétences intermédiaires en matière de communication interpersonnelle et capacité à travailler efficacement au sein d'une équipe et avec un large éventail de personnes au sein de l'APN, des partenaires des Premières Nations et d'autres parties prenantes externes.
- Compétences démontrées en matière d'organisation et de coordination.
- Faire preuve de discernement, de tact, d'initiative, de flexibilité et d'une capacité à travailler de manière indépendante et rapide, y compris dans des délais serrés et avec des priorités concurrentes.
- L'anglais est la langue de travail; touefois la capacité à communiquer efficacement en français ou dans une langue autochtone est également un atout.
