About the Role

The Association of Justice Counsel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual Representative to join our dynamic team in Ottawa, ON. As a key member of our Representation Services team, you will play a critical role in supporting our members and advancing their interests in the federal public service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support to members on labour relations and human rights issues
  • Represent members in grievances and arbitrations, and negotiate collective agreements
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA) in the workplace
  • Collaborate with other teams to advance the interests of our members and promote a positive and inclusive work environment
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in labour relations and/or federal government employee relations
  • Strong knowledge of collective agreements, legislation, and case law governing labour relations and human rights in the federal public service
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong initiative, administration, organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Emotional intelligence skills
  • Strong critical thinking, research, and writing skills
