We are a young, thriving company, located in Markham and we are seeking an extroverted HR Assistant to join our HR team at our Markham headquarters.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the endtoend recruiting, such as posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling and conducting assessments, scheduling and coordinating interviews, conducting reference and background check.
  • Assist the New HRIS implementation, such as updating and maintaining the employee data and files, coordinating the user training, and answering the related HRIS questions & escalated where needed.
  • Assist with onboarding and benefits administration of new hires, and answer employee questions as they arise
  • Assist with health and Safety projects and initiatives
  • Assist in creating and editing HR content in communications, orientation, and presentations.
  • Collecting, verifying, and submitting agency timesheets and invoices.
  • Assist with other special HR projects as determined by business needs, such as; HR events, employee communications and companywide meetings.

Qualifications:

  • A completed University or College degree/diploma in Human Resources.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a coordinator or administrative role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to gain the trust and credibility of business managers
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment while being able to be organized and being able to keep a float all information
  • Experience working with HIRS, Microsoft Office (Particularly Excel), and PowerPoint
  • Teamoriented and enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication skills: strong verbal and written fluency in English required
  • Comfortable working with highly sensitive information and being able to keep the information confidential
