The Role:


The Vancouver and Calgary studios of Perkins&Will are seeking a fulltime HR Coordinator to work and collaborate with the Talent Manager.

This position will work from the Calgary studio and reports to the Talent Manager, who is located in Vancouver.

Essential Job Functions:

For Calgary Employees

  • Assists the Calgary studio employees with HRrelated matters (21 employees)
  • Helps coordinate our employee volunteer program, Service+, in Calgary
  • Is a member of our D&I committee
  • Coordinates wellness initiatives
  • Onboards new employees in the Calgary studio, offboards Calgary employees
  • Administrative duties for the studio as required

For Vancouver and Calgary Employees

  • Prepares onboarding schedules, coordination, and books onboarding meetings for a thorough, informative, and smooth onboarding experience
  • Posts vacant roles in UKG as well as relevant site (AAA, AIBC); reviews incoming CVs/portfolios for talent
  • Payroll calculations and entry into UKG Payroll for Vancouver and Calgary (160 employees)
  • Administers various manual tracking for payroll including the fitness/transit reimbursement, RRSP matching contribution, EI rebate, PTO accrual, Prorate pay accrual
  • Benefits administration with our provider including reviewing billing for changes, enrolment, changes, terminations, and disability wages confirmation
  • Helps administer the studio grant submission and requirements
  • Provides new hires with a benefit presentation & summary when their benefits are active
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Assists employees with their questions in a timely and pleasant manner
  • Helps prepare presentations and employee communications

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor with concentration in Human Resources or Human Resources Management Certificate

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must enjoy working with people We are a friendly, collaborative, and great bunch of people to work with
  • Is thorough and accurate with payroll and other calculations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic
  • Selfstarter with a desire to grow in the position and in their HR knowledge

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years' similar experience
  • Previous experience in a professional services firm is a benefit
