About the opportunity
As an integral part of the "we can do that" operation, and as the member of the Accounting Team, this position is responsible to:

  • assist the controller in performing general accounting functions (A/R, A/P, deposit, cheques, etc.)
- performs bank reconciliation
- prepares and assists in administering payroll
- maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable and receivable ledgers
- enter all required data from invoices and run payable and receivable calculations in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices
- post invoices and prepare cheques
- prepare deposits and maintain procedures for the handling of cash control
- monitor accounts receivables aging ensuring payments are received in a timely fashion and take action to resolve accounts with late payments
- reconcile credit card statements and other accounts
- assist in closing month adhering to deadlines

About you
- two (2) years proven accounting experience

  • Working knowledge of Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK
- post-secondary education, Accounting Diploma
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- strong ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
- ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
- ability to adhere tointernal controls
- strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
- ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
