Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 Years of front-line experience with demonstrated leadership competency. Demonstrated competency in leading self, engaging others, achieving results, building relationships/coalitions and championing system change. Master's Degree in health services discipline, i.e. Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing (BScN accepted; equivalent education/experience may be considered. Registration with professional association/college is required. Work and knowledge of the Electronic Health Record (Connect Care). Experience with change management.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A working knowledge of the Collective Agreements (HSAA, AUPE and UNA) is required, as is an ability to deal effectively with performance issues.
The Care Manager will also be responsible for recruitment, scheduling employees, approving vacation and reinforcing the importance of staff attendance, and reliability.
The Manager will have the opportunity to recruit highly skilled and committed staff, as well as oversee the daily operations of Assertive Community Treatment Team.
The Care Manager will provide coaching and assist in the delivery of competency-based education related to the Addiction and Mental Health Principles of Care and the delivery of three streams of service, mental health, addictions, and concurrent disorders.
While not responsible for the overall budget of the program, the CM is expected to have an awareness of expenditures and cost drivers impacting the budget and to communicate this to the Program Manager.
The CM will have the signing authority required to facilitate daily operations.The CM will bring an inquisitive, respectful, and accountable approach to the role, supporting the growth and development of staff and services through a quality improvement mindset.
The Care Manager will ensure that services delivered by the team meet the needs of service users and stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous health care management experience an asset especially in Community Addiction and Mental Health Services. Knowledge and skills in clinical supervision an asset.
