Sales Representative Job Responsibilities:

- Grow, service and maintain established territory in Ontario, Canada.
- Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on current and potential accounts. (50% existing accounts + 50% business development)
- Adjusts content of sales presentations by analyzing the type of customer
- Keeping management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses and budgets.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to customers based on lab recommendations.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Sales Representative Qualifications/Skills:

- Three to five years or more in the adhesive industry or related market space.
- Proven track record of achieving sales objectives.
- Proven ability to secure new business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possesses the ability to communicate the Evans Value Proposition.
- Positive attitude and works well with other Evans team members.
- Good technical adhesive knowledge and can communicate adhesive issues to the Evans lab and manufacturing when needed.
- Possesses the ability to negotiate customer contracts.
- Self-confidence and self-starter
- Product knowledge understands packaging adhesives which includes hot melts and water-based products.
- Good computer skills including Excel and Power Point
- Has the ability to present professionally to existing and potential customers.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

- BA/BS University degree with a concentration in business or marketing.
- Three to five years of industrial adhesive sales experience
- Bilingual preferred (French-English)

- Maintenir les connaissances professionnelles et techniques en assistant à des ateliers éducatifs, en examinant des publications professionnelles, en établissant des réseaux personnels et en participant à des sociétés professionnelles.
