Description

As an Inside Business Development Manager (IBDM) for Mortgage Protection (Brokers distribution channel) you will be responsible for growing the client base of Mortgage Brokers through the promotion and education of our Manulife MPP solutions. This will involve managing and deepening existing mortgage broker relationships and prospecting for new ones. Your goal is to increase the production of mortgage brokers until they meet a volume threshold that would transition them from being supported by you to being supported by a dedicated external Business Development Manager (BDM). You will continually grow positive relationships through targeted call campaigns, virtual meetings and professional telephone and email sales activity. You will also be accountable for the initial stages of onboarding process in your specific region.

The ideal candidate is dynamic, loves challenging themselves, and has a fun competitive spirit. Your leader and your team will give you all the support, intensive coaching and training you need. You will be required to have a LLQP designation or to obtain one in the first six months of your assignment with Manulife.

Key Accountabilities:

Understand and present our selling strategy to mortgage brokers through our Manulife MPP sales education series (Focus on the Why) Provide the initial training required by compliance in order to be able to refer creditor protection (Focus on the what) Work with External Business Development Managers (BDM) to determine ideal candidates for the educational program. Provide knowledge checks along the way to the different external and internal stakeholders. Develop, host and present virtual meetings for all required brokers. Support the broker through the entire process from pre-application to funding. Process referred and existing broker client deals. Work in close collaboration with the Internal ops team (MPP and BSC) in managing the communication to the brokers on trouble shooting. Manage the transition of mortgage brokers to the external BDM upon successful completion of the educational series and achievement of a volume threshold or target # of enforced policies. Build relationships and collaborate with key partners across the organization to facilitate Mortgage Broker requests (i.e. Compliance, Client Services, Marketing, Events, Product, etc.) Handle and organize daily tasks effectively to achieve productivity metrics in a way that best supports mortgage brokers and the sales region as a whole

Qualifications:

College or University degree in a related field Minimum 2 years experience in the financial services and mortgage brokerage industry Experience conducting virtual meetings and presentations Experience with is preferred LLQP Designation preferred will be a condition of employment in the first 6 months of hire Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including intermediate level of expertise using Excel

Primary Location

CAN, Ontario - Full Time Remote

Salary range is expected to be between

$78,975.00 CAD - $142,155.00 CAD
