The Executive Assistant position has primary responsibility for providing day-to-day administrative support to a member of the Senior Leadership team of MaKami College.

The position provides a wide variety of administrative support. It is expected that the incumbent is well organized and possesses excellent time management.

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities (
_Including but not limited to the following):_

  • Carrying out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, faxing, scanning, etc.
  • Maintaining computer and manual filling systems
  • Providing information to colleagues and students, while handling sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Managing appointments and travel arrangements
  • Acting as a liaison and first point of contact with individuals and organizations
  • Various miscellaneous tasks such as assisting with the organizing and operations of the Edmonton Campus

Educational & Experience

  • A degree/diploma in Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, or similar role
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures
  • Previous event planning experience is an asset

  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and change priorities at once
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally
  • Ability to travel both national and International
  • Work efficiently and with integrity under pressure
