About the Role


The Executive Assistant is the primary point of contact for all matters pertaining to the President - Liquor Division of SNDL and the CEO of Nova Cannabis (hereinafter referred to as the "Executives").

They have a genuine understanding of the importance of their role and how their success directly impacts the success of the Executives.


Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that facilitate the Executives' ability to be effective, including, but not limited to completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence; arranging detailed travel plans, itineraries and agendas; capturing meeting minutes and following up on action items; compiling documents for meetings and events; preparing presentations; etc. All requests and queries must be managed appropriately with professionalism, accuracy, and a keen sense of urgency.
  • Provide highlevel calendar management for the Executives. Prioritize inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts; make judgments and recommendations to ensure smooth daytoday engagements.
  • Work closely with the Executives to keep them wellinformed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Anticipate the Executives' needs in advance of commitments.
  • Communicate directly with various levels of leadership on a variety of matters, some of which may have organizational impact.
  • Foster smooth communication between the Executives and internal departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust, and support with staff.
  • Handle personal assistant tasks for the Executives in a professional manner, including, but not limited to coordinating travel arrangements; scheduling and managing personal appointments and other obligations; etc.
  • Work closely with other administrative professionals to ensure smooth operation of offices, including providing reception lunch coverage a few days per week.
  • Provide occasional administrative support to other organizational leaders and departments.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Postsecondary completion of a twoyear program for administrative assistant, office assistant, business management or other professional degree and/or program is required.
  • 5+ years' experience supporting leadership in a midsized company operating in multiple provinces is an asset.
  • Professional experience providing support to Csuite leadership preferred.
  • Experience on or supporting a Board of Directors is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills is a requirement.
  • Must be able to pass a basic criminal record check.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
