Global Wealth & Asset Management (GWAM) is a vital sector for Manulife, operating through three different channels (Retail, Retirement, and Institutional) across North America, Asia, and Europe, making decisions easier and lives better by empowering investors for a brighter future.
Our Institutional business serves asset owners globally by leveraging the expertise of over 650 investment professionals across 19 markets. We possess strong public and private markets knowledge and are the leading natural capital investment manager. Our insurance background adds scale to our business and facilitates capital access for product development and co-investing with institutional clients.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Global Institutional, the Manager Business Administration plays a crucial role in the growth and transformation of Manulife Investment Management and Global Institutional divisions.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and prioritize crucial matters and information to facilitate timely and effective decision-making by key stakeholders (CEO, CFO, various leadership teams)
- Manage agendas, coordinate pre-read materials, and track action items for leadership team and business review meetings
- Collaborate with Strategy and Communications to efficiently disseminate internal messages
- Work with internal partners to coordinate engagements of CEO / CFO / GM with external stakeholders
- Oversee goal setting, progress/performance review, and scorecard management for the GWLT, in close collaboration with Finance and Strategy
- Coordinate leadership team offsites, identifying and implementing process improvements, driving team effectiveness and productivity, and leading special projects as required
Qualifications:
- Preferably holds a professional designation (MBA, CPA, CA, CGA, CMA, CFA) with at least 8 years of relevant experience in financial services
- Demonstrates independence, ability to seek pertinent information, navigate silos, manage challenging situations, escalate issues effectively, and possess strong communication and organizational skills
- Exhibits emotional intelligence, sound judgment, discretion, diplomacy, and the capacity to identify and address leadership team challenges effectively
- Results-driven, with the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, drive accountability, and develop innovative solutions, along with leadership, collaboration, and motivational skills

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role at the primary location in Boston, Massachusetts is expected to range from $86,325.00 to $155,385.00 USD. Salary variations based on local market conditions, skills, qualifications, and performance are applicable, alongside incentive programs for business and individual achievements.
