About the Company Our client specializes in real estate and construction in Canada. Dynamic company and role, with a startup feel
Provide leadership and daily guidance to the Finance Department, overseeing a team of 4-6 staff members
Ensure all accounting transactions are accurately recorded in a timely manner, adhering to GAAP standards
Execute month-end accounting tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations
Reconcile intercompany accounts
Oversight of payables department including payroll processing
Act as a back-up for accounting staff as needed
Ensure performance reviews for direct reports are completed thoroughly and on time
Resolve complex accounting issues using generally accepted accounting principles
Demonstrate proficiency with accounting software and systems
Interpret and analyze large volumes of financial data
5 years of experience in financial accounting
~ Public Accounting experience preferred
~ Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
~ Experience with Dynamic 365 Business Central is considered an asset
