The OpportunityDirector, Human ResourcesOur client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources to ensure the smooth running of daily HR operations while playing a key role in developing and optimizing HR workflows and SOPs. This role will be instrumental in building and sustaining a best-in-class workplace, with a focus on onboarding programs, total rewards management, and performance programs. The Director will be a key collaborator in working with the HR Talent and Systems Lead, whose focus is on Talent Acquisition and HRIS. Additionally, this role will lead the development and execution of rewards and recognition programs aimed at making our client an employer of choice. The Director of HR will play a pivotal role in integrating new acquisitions, standardizing HR practices, and driving employee engagement initiatives. Location and TravelWith a head office in Ontario, the position is hybrid with requirements to visit clinic sites across Ontario and Quebec, approximately 10% of the time. Major Areas of ResponsibilitiesHR Operations Management:Oversee daily HR operations across all clinics and the head office.Manage and support 2 HR Generalists responsible for regional HR activities.Ensure compliance with HR policies and legal regulations across all jurisdictions.Collaborate on building HR workflows and SOPs to standardize practices across all clinics. Talent Acquisition: Partner with the HR Talent and Systems Lead to ensure smooth and strategic recruitment efforts.Support the development of robust onboarding programs to enhance the new employee experience.Contribute to building and maintaining a strong employer brand to attract top talent. Employee Engagement & Development:Enhance and execute the existing Gallup employee engagement program.Develop and implement learning pathways to support employee development and career progression.Lead the development of rewards and recognition programs that promote a positive work environment and reinforce strategic focus to become an employer of choice. HRIS and Process Improvement:Oversee the ongoing optimization of Ceridian Dayforce, including HRIS, payroll, performance management, and LMS functionalities.Automate manual HR processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.Monitor and manage employee certifications and compliance requirements. Project Management & Integration:Lead the integration of HR processes and systems for new acquisitions, ensuring seamless transitions.Prioritize and execute HR projects, including the standardization of onboarding processes and the launch of new employee benefit programs.Collaborate with key leaders to improve communication and build trust within the organization. Leadership & Collaboration:Act as a strategic partner to the VP, People and Operations, and other senior leaders, aligning HR initiatives with business goals.Champion the employee experience initiative, driving engagement, retention, and overall organizational performance.Be a visible and accessible HR leader within the clinics, fostering strong relationships with clinic teams. Compliance & Continuous Improvement:Stay abreast of changes in employment legislation and ensure the organization’s HR practices remain compliant.Continuously evaluate and improve HR policies and procedures to support the company’s growth and employee needs.Candidate ProfileYou are a committed, self-managed human resources professional who is motivated by building an outstanding organizational culture that underpins the achievement of the company’s business goals. ExperienceHuman Resources experience in healthcare or clinical environment and/or in multi-site companies with customer facing employee groups, ideally with professional credentials.Strong understanding of HR fundamentals and their application in developing employee performance.Previous experience building and developing engaged employee cultures is an asset.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives.Excellent decision-making skills, comfortable with leading people coupled with an awareness of when to seek additional input in planning and deciding.
