Our client in the financial services industry is looking for a HR Business Partner for a 12 month contract. This is a hybrid role (2 days a week in office) in North York.

As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will be a strategic partner to the organization's leadership team, responsible for aligning HR initiatives and functions with business objectives. You will play a pivotal role in driving employee engagement, talent management, and organizational effectiveness within your assigned business unit or department.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior management to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support organizational objectives.
  • Participate in strategic workforce planning, identifying current and future talent needs.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to business leaders and managers through various HR practices to grow capability in our people managers
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures to employees and managers.
  • Lead change initiatives within the business unit, supporting organizational restructuring, culture transformation, and change management efforts.
  • Drive employee engagement and promote a positive work culture
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and other business partners to develop and implement HR programs such as Talent Management and Performance Management effectively.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A degree or a diploma in Human Resources, Business or a related field
  • 4+ years of HR Business Partner experience
  • CHRP or CHRL considered a strong asset
  • Experience with workday considered a asset
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into HR initiatives
