Hays has partnered with small company that manages and maintains residential and commercial buildings based in Downtown Vancouver, BC.

We are currently seeking a (Relief/Part-time) Residential Property Manager to join their team immediately. This position is a 1-year contract with the intention of converting into a permanent role. You’ll work Monday to Friday in an office and on-site environment alongside a great team.

Your new role

You will be overseeing the daily operations of 2 residential buildings that are within walking distance of one another. You will be working on average 12-15 hours per week during the following shift times:

  • Friday from 4:
    00pm (2-3 hour shift).
  • Saturday morning (5-6 hour shift)
  • Sunday morning (5-6 hour shift)
  • You will also be working on stat holidays and also for coverage for vacation (2weeks/year)

Responsibilities:

  • Open swimming pool area, laundry room, and lockers at posted time.
  • Open roof area at posted time. Check for debris, blocked drains and clear.
  • Visual inspection of boiler room and other service areas for abnormal operation.
  • Oversee recycling-waste center operation and remove materials to containers.
  • Maintain cleanliness in pool area
  • Receive and record requests for service/repairs from tenants
  • Front walkway to be cleaned as necessary.
  • Lawn cutting and snow removal if needed.
  • Rear entrance to be cleaned as necessary.
  • Entrance door glass and lobby windows and mirrors cleaned as needed.
  • Laundry room:
    clean and dust/mop as needed
  • Lock swimming pool, laundry room, roof area, locker rooms posted time.
  • Vacuum halls, sweep, and wash floors as needed

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in residential property management.
  • Strong understanding of property management practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as including lifting, sweeping, and walking.
